As you well know, the Dave Matthews Band is invading the Cricket Wireless Pavilion this Wednesday (tickets still available online and from all Live Nation Outlets). They are touring to promote their new album “Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King” (out on June 2nd) so you can be assured that they will treat fans with tracks from their new album. From the looks of the songs they have already played at shows on this tour it will be a usual mix of new, old, and unreleased gems.
However, one of the reasons people should attend is that this is the first album and tour following the death of Saxophonist and original member, LeRoi Moore. Mr. Moore brought his own style, tastes, and love for music not only when making an album but when performing live. Now that the Dave Matthews Band is a foursome, the dynamics have changed in all their recordings moving forward as well as their live shows.
The opening paragraph in the new chapter of the Dave Matthews Band will be written this Wednesday at the Cricket Wireless Pavilion. Don’t miss it!
