I used to live in San Diego and one of the cool things about it was that there was always some sort of racing going on at the Qualcomm Stadium Parking Lot (where the NFL Chargers Play) just about every weekend. May it be drift racing, getting to test drive expensive cars in a timed course to Legal Street Racing there was a type of racing for everyone. This was also one of the first events of its type in the nation designed to get illegal street racing off the streets (mainly to prevent accidents/injury).

Anyways, I found something similar in the Phoenix area called ‘Friday Night Drags’ that is held at the Firebird International Raceway in WAY southern Phoenix. It looks like they have many brackets for racing even a ‘5yr. olds racing Bigwheels’ bracket (I’m not joking, this quote is from the Firebird site). So if you like street racing and want to get your racing fix, check out ‘Friday Night Drags’. Probably going to review this one when the weather cools down a bit more….
Admission: $10 (kids under 12 are free)
If you want to race your car it’s an additional $10.
