Normally, we post our Sprinkle’s free cupcakes of the day offers on our Twitter and Facebook accounts. These offers usually have limits for the first 10 to 50 people (depends on the day) along with varying flavors.
Today is a special offer for the Scottsdale Sprinkle’s location. Anyone dressed up in Arizona Cardinals gear will get a free Red Velvet Cupcake! There is no limit (well, it’s one per person…but no limits as to how many people can come in to get the offer) so come before, during, or after the game and pick up your cupcake!
You don’t have to be dressed head to toe in Cardinals gear but as long as you have a jersey, shirt, hat, or even your face painted, you can get a free cupcake!
Sprinkle’s is located on the Northeast corner of Scottsdale Road and Camelback Road in Scottsdale.

Came across this awesome deal as I was poking around the web today. Amazon.com has over 800 of their MP3 albums for only $5 each.
From Rihanna’s new album ‘Rated R’, to Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ to, John Coltrane’s ‘Blue Train’ to even LMFAO’s ‘Party Rock, there is literally something for everyone’s musical tastes.
Sure, there’s some stinkers in this list of 800 but there’s some great music in the list as well.
In case you’re wondering, yes these albums will work on your iPod and

That’s right! The band that blew the roof off at the Bird’s Nest last year is returning to the ‘Nest’ for the coveted Saturday night headline spot! O.A.R. will be performing February 27th at the 2010 WM Phoenix Open’s (Formerly the FBR Open) Bird’s Nest . The party starts at 3:30 PM (which is pretty much when the day’s festivities at the WM Phoenix Open are done) and doesn’t stop until late into the night!
For those of you who have been to the Bird’s Nest, I don’t need to tell you that it’s one HUGE, FUN party.
If you haven’t been to the Bird’s Nest or are undecided about going, going to the Bird’s Nest is a MUST on anyone’s social calendar. Add the music of O.A.R. into the mix, and you have the makings for one of the most memorable party experiences you’ll ever have.
I caught O.A.R. last year at the Bird’s Nest not knowing a thing about the band. The crowd at the Bird’s Nest got more and more into the music of O.A.R by their cheering, singing along to the songs and dancing. O.A.R. totally fed off of the crowd’s enthusiasm of their music. The atmosphere at the Bird’s Nest that night was already in party mode. However, once the music of O.A.R. began, it was like watching gasoline being added to a fire…in a good way. The music and the attitude and energy of the crowd were the perfect compliments for each other.
By the time the night ended, O.A.R. not only destroyed the stage but they gained MANY new fans moving forward. Expect a concert experience this year that will be hard to match!
Finally, if you aren’t a music buff, the Bird’s Nest is THE place to see and be seen. Don’t miss the first great party of the year!
Tickets (on sale today at 10 AM!):
Tickets for this performance of O.A.R. at the Bird’s nest start at $35 ($40 on the day of the show) and can be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets and via the link below:

Heavy Metal Legends Slayer and Megadeth have announced that they are postponing all of the US shows of ‘The American Carnage Tour’. This includes the tour’s January 23rd stop at the Dodge Theater.
Slayer lead singer and bassist Tom Araya is undergoing surgery to repair his back. Araya injured his back last October on Slayer’s tour of the far east. Attempts were made to try different remedies to alleviate the pain but none were successful. The procedure, Anterior Cervical Discectomy with Fusion, is a routine one and the recovery rate is very high. Back surgery was the last option as Araya could not provide a quality show on the upcoming US Tour with his back pain.
“Tom gave various medical treatments more than a fair shot,” said Slayer’s manager Rick Sales, “but they just haven’t handled the problem, so he’s biting the bullet and is scheduled for back surgery at the end of this month.”
Mr. Sales continued, “As unfortunate as this is for so many people – the Megadeth and Testament camps, the concerts’ promoters, and, of course, the fans – Tom’s health is the number one priority, and this has to happen.”
According to Megadeth’s website, both bands are looking to re-schedule the tour for the summer of 2010. All fans with tickets to these shows are asked to hold on to their tickets until both bands announce their plans for the new dates.
Megadeth will be announcing a US solo headlining tour for March and April shortly.

A few months back a group of local business owners (AZ Vibe included) came together to help out a small business in Tempe called ‘Rock n Roll’ fingers (great friggin place by the way! 100% real chicken fingers) in need of business.
A networking event was planned at ‘Rock n Roll fingers’ so all got together and spread the word to everyone we knew. As a result, some great and magical things happened. Lots of people showed up and helped, had some great food, met some great people, and spread the word about a wonderful business.
Even Fox 10 showed up and did this report on the initial event at ‘Rock n Roll Fingers’:
As a result of the ‘Rock and Roll Fingers’ success, Jimmy Davis of Bobbie’s Flowers is spearheading the effort to make events like this a monthly occurrence in the form of a Lunch and Networking event. This month, the Lunch Club will be heading to yet another local restaurant, this time in Tempe.
This is not only a way for local businesses to connect, but it’s also a way to find some really great places to eat in the area!
Here’s the info for the next ‘Lunch Club’ event:
January 12th, 2010 starting at 11:00 AM
