Here’s a little bit about the circus:
In Old-World Italian tradition, the Zoppè Family Circus welcomes you into their intimate 500 -seat tent for a one-ring circus. This magnificent show is propelled by a central story featuring acrobatic feats, equestrian showmanship, canine capers, clowning and plenty of audience participation. Giovanni Zoppè, the sixth-generation circus performer who plays Nino the clown, says the show aims higher than what passes for circuses these days. “We try to touch every emotion during the show,” he says. “They’ll laugh, they’ll cry, and they’ll feel for the characters.”

Before I begin, I wasn’t in attendance for the majority of day one at the convention center due to a bicycle accident I was in last night. I did attend the Al Gore’s keynote speech last night at Chase Field and was pretty amazed by his speech.
In short, Gore noted that we as a world population are at a crossroads in that the old way of doing things with fossil fuels, non-renewable resources and many ideals that were pretty much associated with the industrial age. The focus of the conference is to promote a new way of thinking in regards to promoting renewable resources not only to take care of the next generation but to take care of things now.
As a business owner, this conference intrigues me in the sense that it comes at the perfect moment at the perfect place. The Greenbuild 2009 conference represents a key meeting of the minds to start a new way of thinking of doing things when it comes to building the next generation of society as we know it.
Just as the information/technology age spelled an end to industrial age ideals, Greenbuild 2009 represents the potential end of the way homes, and businesses used to be constructed for new and renewable methodologies and practices construction.
The reason I say this is because one of the facts that really stuck in my mind from Gore’s speech last night was the fact that 2.5 million potential jobs can be created from Green jobs alone.
Here’s the full audio of Al Gore’s Keynote speech:
That’s right people! From 1 to 8 PM today (and every second Tuesday of the month), admission to the Desert Botanical Garden is 100% free. This is a great opportunity to learn about the plant life in your own backyard. The amount of plan life they have there is simply amazing.
